I listen to my phone and tablet a lot, particularly at bedtime. Since I don’t want to keep anyone else awake I always wear headphones or earbuds. I have a habit of breaking headphones with my big head so earbuds are an easy, if less comfortable (usually) alternative. With that in mind, and a recently broken set of headphones in hand, I decided to give these earbuds a try.

The earbuds come in a small square carrying case that serve not only to keep them safe from damage or loss, but also as their charger. It supports a micro-usb cable connection to do that.

The earbuds use the latest Bluetooth technology (5.0) to connect to two devices at a time and provide incredible sound. They can be used separately or together (as they link to one another) and give amazing clarity and range. They also have the ability to cancel noise or allow ambient sounds in as well.

As I said earlier, I am normally not a fan of these but I heard they were different so I gave them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. They fit well in my ear and do not irritate me or feel like they are going to fall out. They are comfortable. If I fall asleep watching Netflix on my tablet I don’t have to worry about rolling over and breaking them either.

I like that they are portable, too. The carrying case is nice because without it I am certain I would lose one or both of them. All in all they are a great buy and you can find them using the link above.

We live in an area where crime is on the upswing. My kids' bikes have been stolen several times and my wallet was once stolen out of my vehicle. This camera allows me to monitor and record what goes outside of my house. The resolution is great on it and it was easy to install. The night vision works well too. It’s easy to control via the app made for it. The only thing I would change if I could would be a wider range of vision. For the price it’s absolutely worth it though and is great for my peace of mind.

This is yet another purchase for my daughter. She needed something nice for a formal event at school and we settled on this. It is constructed very well and beautifully stitched. It runs true to size as well. Be sure to check the sizing charts on every purchase though. The colors are gorgeous and match her completion well. It makes my 12 year old look like she is 21, so no wearing it without an escort (yes I am overprotective). Definitely a nice and versatile outfit.

This is a beautiful tennis bracelet which is a gift to one of my girls. I have not given it to them yet as I have not yet decided which one to give it to but it is absolutely exquisite. This was another purchase for my daughter. She is very picky about what she wears and being rather well-endowed at 12 years old it can make purchasing clothes somewhat embarrassing as a Dad. Ordering online makes it much easier for me, and Amazon allows for returns if it doesn’t fit right.  Camo is a big thing here in West Virginia, so she loves the design. She says it fits comfortably and provides a good deal of support. According to her it’s great!

Being a single Dad of 4 kids means I have to deal with every issue that comes up with my kids. With 3 of those kids being girls I get to deal with a lot of things that I thought I would never, ever have to know about. My 12 year old has body issue problems despite the fact that I tell her she is beautiful. She wanted this to make her look skinnier. So, she got it. She loves it too. It definitely makes her look skinnier and allows her to wear some of her smaller clothes. I do not like that it makes her look more well-endowed but that’s due to being her Dad. Otherwise it looks great on her. Well worth the expense, even if it’s just because it allows her to wear outgrown clothes. Highly recommended.

I purchased this for my daughter. She really likes it. It fits her well, and runs true to size. It has a hem that makes it appear that it was cut off unevenly that I was unsure of, but my daughter convinced me that this is the style now and her and her friends really like it. She says that it is comfortable too, and would buy another one if they make different colors.

I got this mop from Amazon and it's amazing! It's designed so that it wrings itself and keeps the dirty water seperate from the clean water. When you push it down to wrings it, it goes into a separate container. This not only keeps your clean water clean, but it eliminates smells as well. The microfiber cloth works great on my wood and my linoleum floors.  A must-have for those of you who have little mess makers but not a lot of time to clean up after them.

Emma's New Nails

Back in August I got Emma some new nails. She had been wanting them for a while and she is old enough now that I'm ok with it. Mostly. We got her some black and white nail tips from Amazon.

Advanced Plus 3 Teeth Whitening System

I have noticed my teeth getting noticeably darker over the years and I had been wanting to try this for a while. When I finally got the chance I jumped at it.

This product is very easy to use. I won't list the instructions as they are included but if you can tell time and squirt some gel in a mouthpiece then you can do this. If you can't, please put down the electronics and make sure your helmet is on tight ;). 

I have used this a couple of times and I have noticed a dramatic whitening of my teeth. The gel does not have the horrible taste that I was worried about. My advice is to grab a magazine, set a timer, start the treatment and relax. The time passes quickly and it's definitely worth it. My teeth look so much better now. I would post a picture but I didn't think to do a before, and having lost a tooth (thanks Mt. Dew!) I am a bit self-conscious. 

Suffice it to say I am very happy with the results. The ease of use is great.

Ozeri fan is AWESOME!

I don't know about you guys but I have to sleep with a fan on, even in Winter. I love hearing the noise but I also love the feeling of the wind on my face. Even better is when it's cold and I can hunker down under the blankets and get warm and cozy. Being cool is an important part of sleep for me, especially now that I have a 3 and a 4 year old who pretend that they don't have a bedroom and have to sleep on me.

This Ozeri fan has been a Godsend. It's tall - over 40 inches - and is has a pillar that attaches to it to raise it if you like. I suggest using it. It has 3 individual fans in it that allow you to control the air flow pretty precisely. It definitely controls the air flow in a room. The oscillating feature assists in that quite well. It does this almost silently too.

It comes with a remote that allows you to control speed, oscillation, a timer, and mode. The modes are normal fan, nature (fans speed up and slow down like the wind blowing outside), and night mode which turns off the display except for a moon icon. It also has an app that you can install on your phone or tablet that let's you control it just like the remote does. Finally, it also displays the ambient room temperature as well.

I seriously love this fan. It's a bit pricey, but damn...it's worth it. If you get a chance to pick one up you can find it here...

My daughter's love their jewelry, from the 12 year old down to the 2 year old. I love making them happy so I get them pieces whenever I can. Pop Oh Ver

     As a Dad to 4 kids I have to keep up on everything kid related - toys, games, music, fashion, electronics, and more. I have recently seen a lot about the Pop Oh Ver line of toys, by Kangaroo manufacturing. Apparently they have 2 models right now: a kitchen stove and a kitchen countertop. They are heavy canvas "popovers" reinforced with plastic in places, that slip over a chair and convert it into a play area. When you are finished, slip it back off, fold it up, and store it away. It looks like a great way to entertain kids, save space, and minimize cleanup. Having 2 small daughters, I know the space and cleanup issue all too well. They love pretend cooking. At last check they have 3 very large, very bulky, very much in the way heavy plastic kitchens. They also have several hundred (yes HUNDRED) items that go along with them. Everything from fake food to dishes and utensils. It is beyond doubt that kids love to play at cooking.
